Horseshoe Cottage (centre panel)

Originally built as two 17th century cottages, Horseshoe Cottage is a Grade II listed red brick cottage with a thatched roof. Nan Anderson lived here until she moved away from the area in the late 80’s and sold the house to her good friends Doris and Norman Elgood. The Baverstock family once lived at Horseshoe Cottage, renowned for the wafers they made for Mothering Sunday with watering irons thought to be three centuries old.
