Antony Michael Ansell (1940-2017)

Antony Ansell was born in Malton, Yorkshire in March 1940.  He joined the army on a short service commission. first being posted to Cyprus and later spending two years in Australia.  He joined Fuller’s brewery (the family firm) and became marketing director.  In 1977 he left the brewery and was ordained as a clergyman in 1980. On retirement he moved to Fullerton Mill, where both the house and the garden became projects to embrace.  He took up marathon running and went on two round the world trips.  Following a period of illness he died on 11th February 2017.
