A selection of postcards of the White Lion Inn, 1910 – 1969. It was originally a coaching inn and parts of it date back to 1611. The section adjoining Fullerton Road was once a courtroom for trying local cases.
Fred Pyke became the proprietor of the Inn in 1907 and retired in 1947 when his son Victor took over. The family connection lasted over 70 years until 1978.
