Film – The Sound Barrier

David Lean’s film was first released in the UK on 22nd July 1952. A film show in Wherwell Village Hall on 20th July 2012 will raise money for Naomi House, celebrate another Diamond Jubilee and hopefully allow us to remember the ingenuity of aircraft designers in the 40’s and 50’s, the expertise of ground crew and the bravery of test pilots; not dissimilar to that of wartime fighter pilots.
