Fox head

Fox head (right-hand panel)
Mike Gee

This dog-like wild animal with reddish-brown fur is rarely seen in the village, but the screech of the vixen is sometimes audible at night. Foxes use their keen sense of smell to find ground-nesting birds and small animals, moving back and forth to pick up the scent.  The fox is a solitary creature, joining the vixen only in the mating season.
