Mary Sumner, founder of the Mothers’ Union, attended the first meeting of the Chilbolton Branch in the 1880’s. The Mothers’ Union met regularly in Chilbolton for over 100 years. Amy Trotter attended meetings held in the homes of members for many years. The Chilbolton branch ceased to exist in the late 1990’s, but some past members still have get-togethers at the Rectory.
